At the intersection of consumer behavior, brands & market cultures

Market Cultures & Customer Experience Architecture

Over the past few years, the market has changed because the purchasing process itself has changed, not just advertising volumes. The conditions themselves have changed: people have started making choices and purchases differently.

The number of products, brands, communication channels, and commercial offers has grown to such an extent that consumer attention has become a scarce resource. Under these conditions, purchasing decisions are influenced not only by advertising or price, but also by the entire environment surrounding a product: the category, point of sale, visual presentation, familiar purchasing patterns, trust in the brand, and the cultural context of the market.

BNames is dedicated to the study of these processes. This website brings together my research materials and case studies.

BNames specializes in the analysis of consumer behaviour, customer experience (CX), and the commercial environment.

Research Focus

  • Consumer behaviour across offline and online channels;
  • The customer journey from first contact to repeat purchase;
  • Brand touchpoints;
  • Perceptions of products, pricing, and value;
  • Purchase barriers and decision-making factors;
  • Consumption patterns across different product categories and markets.

Research findings and analytical insights are used to support decision-making in product development, customer experience optimization, positioning, localization, and commercial strategy.

Consumer Insights Specialist: Types of Tasks I Work On

*Customer Journey and Touchpoint Analysis

Research into customer interaction with a product and a brand at every stage, from information search and comparison of options to purchase and repeat engagement.

  • Used to identify customer losses, hidden barriers to choice, and problematic areas within the customer experience.

*Analysis of Choice and Perception Factors

Assessment of the influence of price, packaging, product assortment, visual presentation, and service on purchase decision-making.

  • Used to increase the attractiveness of an offer, refine positioning, and improve product perception both on the shelf and in the market.

*Consumer Behaviour Scenario Analysis

Study of actual consumer behaviour patterns, their motivations, hidden expectations, decision criteria, and the underlying reasons for not making a purchase.

  • Used for precise audience segmentation, strengthening the value proposition, and defining product development priorities.

*Cross-Cultural Analysis and Localization

Research into differences in consumer behaviour, category perception, and customer expectations across different geographic markets.

  • Used to minimize risks when entering new markets and to adapt products, packaging, and communications to local cultural codes.

*Commercial and Retail Environment Analysis

Assessment of how the physical sales environment, merchandising logic, navigation, interfaces, and visual presentation influence final customer behaviour.

  • Used to identify barriers directly at the point of sale and opportunities to improve customer experience and increase conversion.

*Consumer Insights for Product and Marketing Teams

Preparation of in-depth analytical data, behavioural matrices, and practical recommendations.

  • Provides decision-making support prior to the launch of new products, categories, or commercial initiatives.

Brâme™ Method

Brâme™ is a proprietary analytical approach that combines behavioural analysis, cultural interpretation of data, and the study of the commercial environment.

The method deconstructs the human decision-making process, connects fragmented data to its cultural context, and translates observations into practical commercial insights.

This analytical lens makes it possible to understand why similar products are perceived differently and how people make decisions in conditions of market saturation.

Tools:

  • Observation: recording consumer choice journeys, interaction scenarios and buyer behaviour patterns in retail and digital environments.
  • Jobs to Be Done (JTBD): analysis of the tasks, motivations and reasons for choice that determine the buyer’s decision-making process.
  • Customer Journey Mapping: creation of customer journey maps and touchpoint audits to identify critical areas of attention loss.
  • Category Analysis: study of category structure, market standards, choice patterns and competitive environment.
  • Semiotic Analysis: analysis of visual, verbal and symbolic signals of the product, packaging, sales environment and communication.
  • Cross-cultural and historical-ethnographic analysis: comparison of consumer models and research into cultural factors influencing the perception of product value.
  • Content Analysis and AI-assisted Analysis: work with large volumes of reviews, interviews and open sources using AI for data clustering and pattern identification.
